Taichi Hashimoto (Kento Hayashi) is a typical, carefree Tokyo college student, leisurely hanging out with his group of friends. That is, until he meets Mioka Minegishi (Yuriko Yoshitaka) who barrels into his life with an unwavering focus on whatever she wants to do at the moment. Taichi is gradually drawn to the intense Mioka. As their relationship deepens, he learns the reason behind Mioka's uncompromising determination; she suffers from a degenerative and fatal brain disease.

In this heart wrenching and inspiring drama, the heroine’s lover, family, friends and doctor grapple with the themes of life and love as they partake in the final months of Mioka’s life. As she gradually becomes physically incapacitated and begins to lose her memory, her fear of losing control and panic over her limited time grows. But the cruel hand dealt to her pushes Mioka to become even more passionate about her finite life. Taichi joins Mioka in her quest to live each moment to its fullest.
