Shirota (Shota Matsuda) has just started his dream job as a child welfare caseworker.  Filled with a sense of responsibility, he has been working hard every day, but since he is meek and tends to adhere to instruction manuals, he is considered a burden by his colleagues.   
In contrast, Sabashima (Katsumi Takahashi), leader of local mafia group Sabashima-Gumi, has his sights set on becoming the next boss of this mafia organization.
One day, Shirota heads out to follow up on a report of child abuse while, at the same time, Sabashima goes to collect loans. They both enter the same apartment building when a ray of light covers this building, resulting in a quirky body switch!
Not knowing how to regain their original appearances, they decide to pretend to be the other man for a while.  Shirota tries to behave like Sabashima to make sure Sabashima’s wife Ayumi (Yuki Uchida) and the members of Sabashima-Gumi don’t find out the truth, whereas Sabashima also tries to behave like Shirota to make sure his colleagues at the child consultation center don’t realize that something is amiss.
Therefore, Sabashima (whose appearance is Shirota, the caseworker) had no choice but to continue child welfare work by checking on children who refuse to go to school or who may have been abused by adults.  Not at all a natural with young ones, Sabashima tries to deal with these troubled children in his own way, which is nothing like what the instruction manuals dictate.
Can all these troubled children be saved?!

城田（松田翔太饰）是一名儿童商谈所的儿童福利工作员。就职于梦寐以求的职业，抱着一身的使命感沉浸在工作的喜悦中，忙碌地过着每一天。可是因为过于照本宣科按儿童指导手册并且柔弱胆小，在职场上成为了累赘。另一方面，有一个连哭泣的孩子见到他都哭不出来的鲭岛组的组长鲭岛仁（高桥克实饰）正准备争夺下一任总长之位。
某一天，接到儿童虐待通报的城田和前去讨债的鲭岛偶然相遇在同一居民团地。那时一道光包围团地，不知不觉城田和鲭岛的灵魂被互换！不知所措的两人决定回到原来的自身之前只好假装扮演对方。城田想方设法不被鲭岛的妻子安由美（内田有纪饰）和鲭岛组的人发现异样，鲭岛也为了不被儿童商谈所的同事发现而扮演着城田。鲭岛（外形是儿童福利工作员）只好去见有逃学和虐待嫌疑的儿童们，但是鲭岛不喜欢孩子，而且最不会和孩子们相处，于是用儿童指导手册上的内容完全脱离的方法与孩子们相处…。
究竟能否救出被困扰的孩子们呢？！
