Based on a 1968 TV animation series, this title returns as a TV drama series in fall 2011!

Bem (Kazuya Kamenashi), Bela (Anne) and Belo (Fuku Suzuki) are not “monsters,” nor “humans,” but “humanoid monsters.”  They usually disguise themselves as a human family living together, but their appearances transform into ugly monsters when their emotions become uncontrollable due to intense anger or extreme sorrow.  Even if they save humans out of a sense of justice, they are feared and hated by humans just because they are humanoid monsters.  They have lived in this manner for centuries, and their only wish is to become humans as soon as possible.
One night, Bem saves a man, and becomes friends with detective Natsume (Kazuki Kitamura).  At Natsume’s house, he finds a photo of a man who may hold a clue as to how to become humans.  They go to meet the man, Ogata (Morio Agata), who denies any knowledge and disappoints them.
Meanwhile, the case of the man Bem had saved, rapidly unfolds, and Natsume finds himself in trouble.  Can Bem save Natsume?!  Will Bem and his sidekicks’ dream come true?!

贝姆（龟梨和也饰）、贝拉（杏饰）、贝罗（铃木福饰）是既不是「妖怪」又不是「人类」的「妖怪人间」。平常化身为人类，作为一个家庭一起生活，但是当愤怒、悲伤等情绪高涨时，就会回到丑陋的妖怪外形。虽然心存正义，解救人类，但因为是妖怪，数百年来一直持续着被人类所惧怕并厌恶的生活，迫切期望「想快点变成人类」。
有一天夜晚，贝姆救助了一位男子，从而结识了夏目（北村一辉饰）刑警，在夏目家里看到了一张照片。那是一张人物照，是握有使他们能够变成人类的关键人物。贝姆们直接去找那个人绪方（县森鱼饰），得到的答案却是一无所知，感到非常失望。
此时，围绕贝姆救助的男子，事件急剧发生变化，夏目处于危机困境。贝姆能够救出夏目吗？！而且贝姆们的愿望会实现吗？！
