Introduction :
Tug of Wartsuna_1.jpg

A one time Olympic competitive sport. A sport that goes beyond those played at contemporary sports meetings, it embodies the very essence of what sport stands for. Indeed, it embodies the essence of life. Full of laughter and tears, this heartwarming human drama depicts the everyday challenges of women, as they face the world head on as daughters, wives and mothers and how just tugging on a rope brings them together. It will make you laugh and give you the strength to carry on, too!

Story :
Why Me?

tsuna_2.jpgChiaki is a reliable, diligent public servant, working in the Public Relations Department of City Hall.

The Mayor entrusts her with the

unreasonably difficult task of forming a ladies’ Tug of War team. Chiaki’s attempts to recruit members are understandably thwarted.

Meanwhile, Chiaki’s mother is facing the prospect of having her workplace, a publicly run school meal center, closed down. Chiaki comtsuna_3.jpg

es up with a plan to reverse the decision. She makes a deal with the Mayor to recruit the cooks at the meal center as Tug of War members, on the condition that the decision to close the center will be reversed if the Tug of War team wins its way into the national Tug of War finals. As for the members – they are a motley crew indeed. Can Chiaki pull the team together and win a ticket to the national finals? Have you got it in you,Chiaki!?
