Bullet train hits the rails in Hokuriku

Engineers in Japan are putting the finishing touches on the country’s latest bullet train line.

The new Hokuriku high-speed railway goes into operation next March in northern Japan.

Officials carried out the first test-run Tuesday morning.

Locals welcomed the new bullet train at every station.

Japan is currently trying to export its high-speed rail technology to the US, with projects in the works for Texas and the Northeast.
