Dept stores admit Chan Luu counterfeits

Some of Japan’s top department stores have admitted to selling counterfeit jewelry of trendy US brand Chan Luu.

Started by a Vietnamese immigrant, Chan Luu creations are worn by celebrities in the US and Japan.

Five leading Japanese department stores including Seibu and Daimaru today (Wednesday) announced a recall of bracelets sold last year.

Store officials say they will reimburse customers for the pirated products.
