Japan’s tallest skyscraper opens in Osaka

The 300-meter Abeno Harukas opened today (Friday) in Osaka in western Japan.

People rushed into Kinki Nippon Railway’s new building when it swung its doors open this morning (Friday).

With a department store, gallery, hotel and offices, the 130-billion yen tower should be a popular tourist spot.

The observatory offers spectacular views.

Visitors said they’re glad Japan’s tallest building is now in Osaka, and said it would revitalize the city.

Experts say the economic effect could be worth 500 billion yen.

The future of the railway company now depends on Japan's highest skyscraper.
