When water and cinema mix

Moviegoers in southwestern Japan are being treated to a very unique 3D movie experience at the beach.

The technology, known as “projection mapping”, can be used to show specially rendered movies on a dynamic screen, and in this case, it’s a mist of seawater created by a machine right above the ocean.

The story is a retelling of Japanese literary classic “Tale of the Heike.”

The show celebrates the 80th anniversary of a national park and can be enjoyed until August 8.
