EXHIBITION OUTLINE

EXHIBITION OUTLINE Presenting “Monet’s Monet collection” from Marmottan Monet Museum, an exhibition of works originally in the artist’s possession. Through some 90 pieces, ranging from family portraits to Monet’s late-period Water Lilies paintings filled with light and color, and artworks personally collected by Monet, we will explore Monet’s rich creative world. Featured will be Impression, Sunrise, the painting from which “Impressionism” took its name.
*The work Impression, Sunrise will be displayed for a limited period: 9/19-10/18
*The work The Bridge of Europe, Saint-Lazare Station will be displayed for a limited period: 10/20-12/13

  • *Free admission for High school students with school ID on September 19 - 30, 2015.
  • *Free admission for junior high school students or younger.
  • *Free admission for visitors with physical disabilities, mental disabilities and atomic bomb disease (ID required) and one accompanying person.
  • *Tokyo Metropolitan Government has designated every third Wednesday as “Silver Day”, on this day visitors 65 years of age or older can visit the venue for free (October 21, November 18). Crowds are expected on this day.
  • *Tokyo Metropolitan Government has designated every third Saturday and following Sunday as “Family days”. On these days, visitors residing in Tokyo and accompanying children 18 years of age or younger, can visit the venue for half off the regular admission. (ID required)
  • *Free admission for schools in Tokyo visiting the venue for education purpose. (Pre application required)
