Kozue is a rigid officer whose orderly life shatters when Reiji arrives at her detention center, accused of brutally murdering his wealthy father. Reiji's presence unearths Kozue’s darkest trauma: the victim was her former lover who once saved her from an abusive home before abandoning her. Despite her deep resentment, Reiji's desperate claims of innocence and an unspoken connection dismantle her formidable defenses. As Kozue finally begins to trust in Reiji, he shockingly betrays her by luring her into a false sense of security only to strike her down and abandon her to join a deadly cult's prison break. When the escape attempt is thwarted, Kozue discovers his true motive: Reiji falsely confessed solely to protect his captive younger sister from their corrupt uncle, the actual murderer. Driven by this radical truth, Kozue crosses the line by manipulating her colleagues, double-crossing ruthless cult members, and deceiving her own fiancé, the lead detective on the case, to engineer a daring escape.

The fugitives must now outrun a treacherous manhunt to expose a massive political cover-up. Stripped of her career and safety, Kozue’s desperate descent into criminality becomes a fight for justice and unlikely salvation.
