When a person passes on, they are guided to a single diner nestled between life and the afterlife.

There awaits Meng Po, a soul-soothing chef. As their final meal, each departed guest orders “the most unforgettable dish of their life.” Through that solitary plate, Meng Po comforts their souls, reflecting on their pasts, releasing them from lingering regrets, and gently guiding them on their journey to what comes next.

Just as the moon on “The 16th Night” begins to wane, our lives are often flawed and incomplete. This is a bittersweet, deeply moving culinary fantasy about filling the empty spaces of imperfect lives with one final dish.

Based on the hit Chinese novel that captivated readers across China and South Korea, this compelling story comes to life as a drama series from Japan!
