Nippon TV's In-House Proprietary AI Solution "AiDi" Wins
the Product of the Year Award at the NAB Show 2026

Nippon TV, Japan's leading multiplatform entertainment powerhouse, announces that its in-house-developed proprietary AI solution, GoVertical! AiDi ("AiDi"), has won the Product of the Year Award in the Streaming category at the NAB Show 2026. The event—one of the world's largest broadcast and media technology exhibitions—was held from April 19 to 22, 2026, in Las Vegas, USA.

AiDi is Nippon TV's proprietary AI solution designed to automatically generate vertical, mobile-friendly 9:16 video from16:9 live broadcast footage in real time.

As smartphone viewing becomes the dominant mode of content consumption, particularly among younger audiences—adapting video for vertical viewing has become a critical challenge for video content providers. AiDi addresses this challenge by enabling smooth and stress-free viewing even for fast-paced sports such as basketball and soccer, dynamically tracking the ball and players based on the situation.

AiDi operates on a single PC without requiring an internet connection and introduces only approximately 0.5 seconds of latency during live broadcasts. It also supports touch-pen operation, allowing intuitive use by anyone.

The NAB Show is one of the world's largest broadcast and media technology exhibitions, held annually in Las Vegas and organized by the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB). The Product of the Year Award is presented in each category to products that demonstrate innovation and strong future potential

In addition to this honor, AiDi also received the Best of Show Award from TV Tech, a leading industry trade publication. The award was announced during the NAB Show, marking a double win for AiDi across major awards.
