"Meet Me There" Singapore Season 2
'Meet Me There' Renewed For Season 2 by CNA
with Singapore's Most Iconic Stars and New Twists

TOKYO, JAPAN - 6 August 2026 - Nippon TV, Japan's leading multiplatform entertainment powerhouse, announced that its touching docu-reality format Meet Me There has been renewed for a second season in Singapore. Following the success of the first season, Season 2 will once again be produced by CNA, the English language news and current affairs brand of Mediacorp, Singapore's national media network and largest content creator.
The first episode of the highly anticipated new season is scheduled to air on CNA on 10 August, before the entire season is aired across three consecutive days on 15, 16, and 17 August, and streamed on Youtube. Timed to commemorate Singapore's 61st birthday, the special season features a high-profile lineup of the nation's most iconic personalities.
The cast will include prominent local personalities such as Mediacorp artistes Zoe Tay and Aileen Tan, the very first "Singapore Idol" Taufik Batisah, well-known Singaporean chef and MasterChef Singapore judge, Bjorn Shen, and other notable icons.
Season 1, which premiered on 21 March 2026, achieved remarkable success, garnering praise from viewers for its emotional resonance and unique storytelling. Across platforms, including the CNA Insider on YouTube where its available on-demand, the series reached a total of 365,800* Singapore viewers aged 15+ with an average of 199,900* viewers per episode.
Originally produced and broadcast by Nippon TV in Japan, Meet Me There is a deeply moving unscripted format which begins with a handwritten note containing just three words, "Meet me there." Without any other clues, the recipient of the note - or Target - must find this mysterious location where the Sender would be waiting.
To add to the suspense, CNA has added on a new visual timer which counts down the final minutes as Targets race against an 8-hour limit to find their Senders.
As both Target and Sender retrace their shared history - visiting places where friendships could have been built or marriage proposals made - memories resurface and emotions run high. Each wrong turn is bittersweet, making the eventual reunion even more moving, and meaningful.
Quote from Raku Iizuka, Sales and Licensing, Nippon TV:
"We are absolutely thrilled to partner with CNA for a second consecutive season of Meet Me There. Following the incredible reception of Season 1 in Singapore, this new season raises the stakes with an exceptionally high-profile, iconic cast. Combined with the exciting new twists and visual tracking elements, the emotional journey is more compelling than ever. It is a true pleasure to continue this journey together, and I look forward to touching the hearts of even more viewers this National Day month."
