Osaka Expo's foreign pavilions to decrease to around 40

Osaka Governor Yoshimura Hirofumi said on April 16 that the number of foreign pavilions to be built independently by participating countries at the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo is
expected to decrease significantly.60 countries were originally scheduled to build their own pavilions, but the number has decreased to 52 after Mexico and some others withdrew, and about 15 countries have not decided which construction companies to use.
With less than a year to go before the opening, Osaka Governor Yoshimura said the number of countries exhibiting their own pavilions is expected to be around 40 in the end.
S/ Yoshimura Hirofumi, Osaka Governor: Around 40 will make do for pavilions with unique characteristics to line the Expo venue.
The expo association is working to adjust the situation, such as encouraging multiple countries to jointly use pavilions.
