Prime Minister Kishida Fumio arrived at Andrews Air Force Base in Washington DC on April 8.

Kishida received a warm welcome from the honor guard and band to commemorate the first  state visit by a Japanese prime minister in 9 years.

The prime minister plans to participate in a summit with President Biden on April 11 and speak before Congress on April 12.
