Saudi Arabian Crown Prince's visit to Japan postponed

Japan’s Chief Cabinet Secretary Hayashi Yoshimasa said on May 20 that Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has postponed his visit to Japan due to King Salman’s health condition.

The Saudi Crown Prince was scheduled to arrive in Tokyo on May 20 for a four-day official visit and to meet with Emperor Naruhito and Prime Minister Kishida Fumio.
According to Hayashi, the Saudi Arabian government informed Japan late on the night of May 19 that the Crown Prince’s visit has been put off due to King Salman’s health.

Regarding Crown Prince Salman’s visit, Japan’s foreign ministry said that the two countries will coordinate again in the future.
