Endangered Amur leopard cubs make their debut

A pair of critically endangered Amur leopard cubs debuted today at a zoo in western Japan.

The twin cubs were born three months ago at the Fukuyama City Zoo in Hiroshima Prefecture.

The cats are now about 70 centimeters long and weigh about four kilos.

Amur leopards once ranged over northeast Asia.

But their territory has been reduced by habitat loss and poaching.

The zoo hasn’t named the twins yet and is accepting suggestions until July tenth.
