PM touts Abenomics to London financiers

Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is urging London’s financial elite to invest in Japan.

He told a gathering of executives in the Square Mile today that Abenomics is making progress.

Japan has a reputation for tight economic and investment restrictions.

Abe cited his push for corporate tax reform as a sign that things are changing.

He also said Japan’s electricity market would be deregulated before the 2020 Olympics.

Abe is also looking to conclude an Economic Partnership Agreement between Japan and the EU next year.
