S.Korea says N.Korea's Spy satellite launch is imminent

South Korean defense minister Shin Won-sik said on the night of April 14 that there is a possibility that North Korea will launch a spy satellite as early as in a few days.

North Korea launched its first military reconnaissance satellite in November last year, and General Secretary Kim Jong-un has indicated that three-more satellites will be launched this year.

Regarding these additional satellites, South Korean defense minister Shin Won-sik said that technical adjustments are being made, and that the launch is imminent.

He also said that he believes it will be carried out by the end of this month at the latest.

He analyzed that even if the launch is successful, Pyongyang’s reconnaissance capabilities will not improve much.
