Sushiro to open first US location in New York

Sushiro, a major conveyor-belt sushi chain, announced plans to open its first US location in New York this October. Prices will start at around 5 US dollars per plate.

Sushiro’s first US location is set to open in the bustling Times Square area of Midtown Manhattan.

The restaurant plans to offer more than 200 items, with prices starting at $5 per plate—approximately 800 yen—for staples such as tuna.

The company says the customary tip in the United States will not be required.
