A French woman who was visiting tourist destination Nikko in Tochigi Prefecture went missing 7 years ago on July 29. 

Tiphaine Véron, who was 36 years old at the time of her disappearance, left her luggage and passport at her accommodations in Nikko in July 2018.

She left her lodging with only a shoulder bag, and her current whereabouts are unknown.

On July 28, Véron’s brother Damien, who rushed over from France, distributed flyers to tourists together with the local police and others, calling for any information.

Véron was 165 cm tall, with brown hair, and was wearing a light-colored sleeveless top at the time of her disappearance.
