New Year lucky bags for 2025 include experience of working as zookeeper
Department stores in Tokyo unveiled their New Year lucky bags for 2025 on October 24.
Matsuya Ginza will offer 16 packages, including a box filled with food items to help consumers tackle inflation.
The box contains about 10 kilograms of products like oil and canned food whose prices continue to rise.
Another lucky bag is made up of 50 red and 50 white wine bottles to represent major leaguer Ohtani Shohei's 50-50 achievement.
Meanwhile, Tobu Department Store has experience-oriented lucky bags.
S/ Yamashita Risa, NTV Reporter / A lucky bag offers the experience of working as a keeper at a zoo and taking a photo with a snake, a zodiac sign for next year.
Five elementary school students can experience working as a zookeeper, such as cleaning elephants' sleeping area or training seals.
Officials at various department stores say they hope customers can enjoy the New Year even as commodity prices keep going up.
