Gas explosions injure 10 in Tokyo
Multiple gas explosions occurred in Tokyo on May 27, injuring 10 people.
Police received a call around 9:30 AM saying that the caller heard an explosion and the window of their house was broken.
Multiple explosions took place at a site where underground gas pipes were being constructed.
One heavy machinery caught fire and ten people were injured but they were all conscious.
Resident living nearby / I heard a loud sound that felt like it was pressing on my eardrums. The flames were about 30 centimeters high.
The explosion caused damage to nearby stores and residences, including broken windows.
The Metropolitan Police Department is looking into the accident with the possibility that gas leaking from a pipe may have ignited.
