Cameras installed on shelves and ceilings allow AI to analyze the behavior of customers and show recommended products on the screen, based on the items they pick up.

Detailed product information is displayed when customers touch the price tag on the shelf.

Weather and traffic conditions around the store are also displayed on screens.

Robots that can cook by themselves, restock drinks and keep track of inventory are introduced to reduce labor shortages and improve operational efficiency.

Lawson CEO Takemasu Sadanobu said that the company hopes to open stores in the suburban area within 2025 based on the demonstration experiment at this store.
