Japan raises travel alert for six Middle East countries amid Iran attacks

Japan’s Foreign Ministry says it has raised its travel advisory for six Middle East countries to Level 3, the second-highest warning, urging citizens to avoid travel.
The countries now under the Level 3 advisory are Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Oman.
The ministry says the move comes after the situation worsened following attacks by Iran targeting civilian and diplomatic facilities.
Meanwhile, regarding the evacuation of Japanese national, the government says departures from some countries have become difficult due to the closure of international airports.
Japan plans to evacuate willing nationals currently in Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and the United Arabe Emirates by land to Riyadh in Saudi Arabia and Muscat in Oman, where airports remain operational.
From there, the Japanese government will arrange chartered flights to evacuate them to Tokyo.
