Police arrested an 18-year-old male high school student for allegedly attacking two women in a restroom at JR Chiba Station in the city of Chiba, east of Tokyo, on the evening of July 17.
Police officials said the teenager used a 24-centimeter hammer and hit the shoulder area of the victims one after another in the women's restroom inside the station.
The women, one in her 40s and the other in her 50s, were not injured in the incident.
