Japan welcomes new sumo yokozuna Onosato with excitement

In his hometown of Tsubata, a congratulatory banner was put up at town hall.

Excitement can be felt in Tokyo as well.

Preparations were underway to serve celebratory sake at this store featuring products from Ishikawa.

S/ Store manager / This sake was made by Kuze Shuzo, a brewery in Tsubata, Ishikawa Prefecture, where Onosato is from.

Some customers came after hearing that he reached sumo's highest rank.
