Nearly 60 people evacuate earthquake-ridden island

Five residents evacuated the island on July 9.
Islanders who wished to evacuate, started doing so on July 4.
59 residents have evacuated Toshima Village as of July 9.
This man was among the second group of islanders who evacuated Akuseki.
He had finally settled in on his fourth day after being evacuated.
Evacuee / I always dream about earthquakes, or the island. Then I wake up. I feel the earthquake in my dream, and in them, I go through exactly what I had actually experienced in real life.
He said he remembers the shaking and has trouble sleeping.
Only 20 islanders have remained on Akuseki Island as of July 9.
