An afternoon tea set that was served at the Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai United Kingdom pavilion for 5,000 yen went viral on the Internet.

This photo that was posted on social media shows its tea being served in a paper cup.

The menu stated two scones would be included, but only one was served.

Person who posted the photo / I was told that there was only one scone because the size got bigger. I wish they had explained because we had already paid in advance.

The representative in charge of the UK pavilion has apologized following the incident. The tea set is currently served in porcelain cups instead of paper ones.

The person who posted the photo online has received a personal apology as well.
