Investigative sources said that a search history on the smartphone of a man arrested on suspicion of abandoning his 11-year-old son's body in Kyoto’s Nantan city shows he had searched for how to dispose of a body.

The boy's body was found in a wooded area on April 13, three weeks after he went missing.

The suspect, 37-year-old Adachi Yuuki, is believed to have transported the body to multiple locations including a forested area between the morning of March 23 and the day it was discovered.

Investigative sources have also said that some of the footage from the dashcam in the suspect's car was deleted.

Police are investigating the circumstances behind the case, including the possibility that the suspect deliberately acted to delay the discovery of the crime.
