Crown Prince Fumihito attends funeral of Norway's King Harald V in Oslo
The state funeral for Norway’s late King Harald V was held in Oslo on September 9. Japan’s Crown Prince Fumihito and Crown Princess Kiko attended the event.
The imperial couple walked alongside new King Haakon VIII, royalty from various countries and world leaders in a procession of about 1.2 kilometers.
At the funeral service held at Oslo Cathedral, the crown prince and princess sat along with European monarchs and royal family members.
During the service, a one-minute moment of silence was observed, followed by prayers and hymns.
After the funeral and burial services, the Japanese couple exchanged greetings with King Haakon, Queen Dowager Sonja and new Crown Princess Ingrid Alexandra at the royal palace.
