Author Higashino Keigo, known for Galileo series, dies of colon cancer
Mystery novelist Higashino Keigo, known for literary works such as the Galileo series, died of colon cancer on July 23. He was 68.
Publisher Kodansha made the announcement on July 27.
His funeral was held as a private family service.
According to Kodansha, Higashino has 106 published books, excluding co-authored titles, ranging from his debut novel “After School” published in September 1985 to his latest book scheduled for publication on August 5.
Kodansha said the stories he created will continue to captivate many readers.
