One dead after explosion at Toyota affiliate's factory
One person died and two people were injured after an explosion took place at a factory of Toyota Motor’s affiliate on March 6.
Police officers received a call saying that a dust collector inside Chuo Spring's Fujioka plant, which produces parts for automobiles, exploded shortly after 8AM.
Employees also said over the phone that the roof of the factory was blown off.
A 40-year-old man died and two others were injured from the blast.
There was also a fire but it was extinguished in three hours.
Officials are investigating the details of the incident.
An explosion in a building at the Fujioka plant in October 2023 partially suspended operations at production plants.
