A resident in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture reported that the cliff below their apartment building was collapsing on July 9.

An eight-story apartment building stands directly above the slope.

According to the fire department, the collapse measured approximately 20 meters in height and 10 meters in width.

Residents of the apartment building were temporarily evacuated, but no injuries were reported.

Following an inspection by Sendai City, no cracks or other structural damage were found in the apartment building.

The city concluded that the building was not in immediate danger, and no evacuation order was issued to residents.
