Takaichi offers condolences over Hong Kong high rise fire

Japanese Prime Minister Takaichi Sanae has offered condolences following a deadly fire that occurred in a high-rise apartment complex in Hong Kong.

Takaichi said in the message issued on November 27 that she was deeply saddened by the extensive damage caused by the blaze.

She said she pays tribute to those who lost their lives and expresses her condolences to their families.

The Japanese leader also offered her heartfelt sympathies to all those affected by the disaster.

The massive fire broke out on November 26, claiming over 90 lives, injuring about 70 people and leaving more than 200 unaccounted for.
