ANA plane enters construction zone at Hiroshima Airport
In-flight announcement:
“A piece of concrete became lodged in the right-side landing gear, rendering this aircraft unable to taxi any further at the moment.”
Around 9 p.m. on May 22, ANA Flight 1272, arriving from New Chitose Airport in Hokkaido, made a sudden stop after landing at Hiroshima Airport. The aircraft had mistakenly entered a section of runway that was under construction, causing it to become immobilized. There were 126 passengers and 6 crew members on board.
Passenger:
“As we were taxiing after landing, the plane suddenly came to a hard stop. There was a jolt, but no loud noise.”
No passengers were injured. Everyone remained on board for about an hour and a half before disembarking the aircraft.
