Hacker Group leaks suspected Asahi Group data on Dark Web

A hacker group claiming to have launched the cyberattack on Asahi Group Holdings has now leaked a large volume of data believed to belong to the company, including information on business partners and individuals.

According to cybersecurity experts, the newly leaked information includes documents containing the names of business partners, as well as the IDs and passwords for individuals' accounts at financial institutions.

The hacker group known as Qilin, which claims responsibility for the attack, published the approximately 1,440 files and folders for download on the dark web.

Qilin had previously published screenshots of the suspected Asahi Group Holdings data to its dark web portal.

Asahi Group Holdings said that they have confirmed that the leaked information is suspected to have been from the company, but as they are verifying the details, they cannot comment on the contents of the documents.

The beverage manufacturer said at a press conference in November that they had not been in contact with the hacker group, nor had they paid any of the demanded ransom, and were looking to normalize its entire logistics operations by February 2026.

However, it is now expected to be forced into new countermeasures.
