On May 15, at around 8:22 PM, a strong earthquake with a Magnitude of 6.3 struck north-eastern Japan.
The Japan Meteorological Agency said the temblor registered lower 5 in the seismic intensity scale of up to 7 in Ishinomaki,Tome and Osaki of Miyagi Prefecture.
