Car runs into pedestrians in Nagoya, injuring 7 including infant
This is an intersection in Nagoya, central Japan.
Dashcam footage shows some pedestrians on the left running and a car coming swerving onto the sidewalk.
On April 1, the car driven by a 74-year-old woman went out of control and hit seven pedestrians, including an infant boy and a girl who is about 10 years old.
The local police and fire department said none of the injured were in life-threatening condition.
Police arrested the driver at the scene on suspicion of negligent driving resulting in injuries.
They later released her and were questioning her on a voluntary basis.
Investigative sources said the woman has told police that she stepped on the gas pedal harder than usual.
