Two suspects at large after tying up store manager + robbing 1.7 mil. Yen, iPhones

According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, they received a report on March 14 saying that a man who was tied up came out from a building in Tokyo’s Shinjuku Ward.

The bound man was a Vietnamese manager of a used mobile phone shop. Two men broke into the store, beat the man, and then threatened him with what appeared to be a handgun, telling the manager to not move.

The robbers are believed to have then tied him up with a USB cable and stolen approximately 1.7 million yen in cash, together with dozens of iPhones and other merchandise.

The men are described as being in their 20s to 30s, and were wearing black clothing and black pants, with hats and masks at the time of the incident.

They remain at large, and police are currently searching for them.
