Chinese convicted of fatally stabbing Japanese boy executed
A Chinese man convicted of fatally stabbing a Japanese boy in Shenzhen, China last year has been executed, authorities confirmed.
The 10-year-old boy was on his way to his Japanese school when he was stabbed with a knife.
In January this year, the court sentenced a man in his 40s to death for intentional homicide, and it has now been confirmed that the sentence has been carried out.
According to sources familiar with Japan-China relations, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed the Japanese Embassy in Beijing on April 21
It was also reported on April 16 that the death sentence had been carried out in the case of a Japanese parent and child who were attacked in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, last June.
In both cases, it remains unclear whether the attacks were targeted at Japanese nationals.
