Japanese konbini Natural Lawson offers customized salad rising health awareness

A Natural Lawson outlet in Tokyo started a salad demonstration experiment on July 7.

Customers can choose one of the two base salads, and add their favorite toppings from a list of nine, including broccoli and steamed chicken.

After they place their order, the store staff prepares the meal in front of the customers.

The convenience store chain has been successfully selling salads that specialize in nutrients such as protein and dietary fiber.

The operator plans to consider expanding the number of stores after next year.
