Some Nissan shareholders unhappy with lack of shakeup in management team
Struggling Nissan Motor held a general shareholders' meeting at its headquarters in Yokohama on June 24, attended by 1,071 shareholders.
Proposals by Nissan for a new management structure were approved by majority vote.
They included Ivan Espinosa's appointment as CEO and the reappointment of outside directors, including those who were members of a committee that selected Espinosa's predecessor Uchida Makoto as CEO.
Not all attendees were happy with the results.

Shareholders said Espinosa apologized for Nissan's poor financial performance.
They said he noted that he must make tough decisions to turn the situation around but did not go into detail about specific restructuring measures such as closing factories.
