Japan's largest electronics show CEATEC held east of Tokyo

Japan's largest exhibition of cutting-edge digital technology, CEATEC, opened on October 14.

NTV Reporter: When you put these gloves on and shake the shaker, the hand movements and force applied are displayed here as numerical values.

This is a sensor glove developed by Hitachi.

It digitizes and stores data such as the operator's hand movements, the force applied, and the subtle sounds at a workstation.

In manufacturing environments, a huge challenge lies in passing on the skills of highly skilled individuals to new workers.

By utilizing this data, it enables the rapid acquisition of the techniques possessed by master craftsmen.

Screen: Can you call your supervisor, PLEASE!

Here we have an AI earpiece with a camera developed by JVCKenwood.

When the device detects keywords like ‘supervisor’ or others that may indicate verbal harassment, the camera automatically activates, and records audio and video of the individual.

The video can be sent to supervisors and colleagues in real time, enabling a swift response.

Additionally, if you’ve stored someone’s picture and name in the device’s memory, it can remind you who they are when you can't recall.

CEATEC runs until October 17.
