Sushi prankster rearrested after slapped with summary order for obstructing business
Police have rearrested a 43-year-old man for allegedly obstructing the business of a major conveyor-belt sushi restaurant chain once again.
According to police, the suspect filmed himself touching the spout of a soy sauce container at a Hama Sushi outlet in Saitama Prefecture on June 28 and posted the video on social media.
The suspect has told investigators he did post the video but asserted that it is not clear whether his finger actually touched the spout.
In a separate case also involving the obstruction of Hama Sushi's business, he received a summary order imposing a 500,000 yen fine in June.
In that incident which occurred in May, he took a video of himself pouring what appears to be dishwashing detergent onto food he ordered at a Hama Sushi restaurant in Saitama Prefecture and posted the footage on social media.
The video led to his arrest in early June.
