Princess Kako interacts with young women tackling social issues
Princess Kako attended “Girls Messe 2025,” an event organized by the Girl Scouts of Japan in Tokyo on October 19.
The event featured an award ceremony to recognize outstanding social contributions made through Girl Scout activities.
Kako gave a speech at the ceremony.
S/ Princess Kako / I would like to give a big round of applause to those who seriously considered various social issues as something they should personally address and took action.
After the ceremony, the princess chatted with award recipients.
She praised the work of a university student who organized a hands-on disaster preparedness event and encouraged her to continue such activities.
Kako is a daughter of Crown Prince Fumihito of Akishino, the younger brother of Emperor Naruhito.
