Powerful quake rattles Philippines, leaving at least 15 dead
On the Philippine island of Mindanao, a strong shaking occurred while a ceremony was taking place at an elementary school's courtyard on the morning of June 8.
The camera captured the moment the roof of a structure collapsed.
So far, there have been no reports of injuries at this school.
According to AFP news agency, many buildings in the Philippines have collapsed, with at least 15 people dead.
The tsunami warning center is urging caution, saying that tsunami waves of 1 to 3 meters could reach the Philippines.
Tsunami alerts have also been issued in neighboring areas including Taiwan and Papua New Guinea.
In Japan, a tsunami advisory for waves up to 1 meter high has been issued over a wide range of regions on the Pacific Ocean side of the country, from Okinawa in the southwest to Ibaraki Prefecture in eastern Japan.
A siren went off in Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture, shortly after 9 a.m. on June 8.
