Bear goes on grape hunt in northern Japan
This bear was about to go on a grape hunt.
It was at a Shine Muscat vineyard in Yamagata Prefecture in the middle of the night.
The bear stood up and tore open the protective bags covering the grapes with its mouth, and began devouring them.
According to the grape farm, about 50 bunches of the luxurious fruit were eaten.
The vineyard had installed a camera after losing about 10 bunches of Shine Muscat during the night for consecutive days.
The grape farmer said that they were scared that they might be attacked by bears during harvest and wanted to ensure their safety.
There have been bear sightings in the surrounding area including garbage collection spots, prompting the local hunting association to set traps.
