Emperor Naruhito, Empress Masako, and Princess Aiko attended the 50th Emperor’s Cup wheelchair basketball championship held at the Tokyo Gymnasium on February 2.

The last time the family attended the games as a trio was in May 2017.

The imperial family watched intently as the Kanagawa Vanguards won the game against the Saitama Lions, making it their third consecutive championship win.

After the game, they asked players about their wheelchairs and gameplay.

Princess Aiko and the imperial couple were also seen wishing Kanagawa player and Paralympic silver medalist Chokai Renshi a happy birthday.
