LIVE Report from Jerusalem after Iranian missile attacks

S/ Foreign Correspondent:Sato Atsushi: I’m standing on the rooftop of a hotel near central Jerusalem.  The streets are bustling with people and cars, and it’s hard to believe that  countless missiles and drones flew here just before dawn yesterday.

Q: How are the people in the city?

A: Everyone seemed relaxed today. However, when I asked Israelis living in Jerusalem about the attack, their expressions changed, and they all said they were scared. That’s my impression. They said it was very scary because many missiles, including interceptors, flew and it was an unprecedented attack by Iran.

On the other hand, some said they feel safe because the military will protect them.

Q: How will the Israeli government respond?

A: A war cabinet meeting was held on April 15.  Opinions are divided within the Israeli government, with some calling for a cautious approach with retaliation at an appropriate time, while others say that retaliation should have been carried out even while under massive attack.

According to Israeli media, the meeting just ended. There is no official announcement yet, but attention is focused on whether any decisions were made regarding retaliatory measures.

When asked about retaliation, some citizens said it should be carried out immediately while others said they do not want retaliation as Israel has already won by preventing this attack. Attention is focused on how the Israeli government will respond.
